All from a garage in Lake Elsinore, California in 1991. Intense Cycles was founded on a dream with not much more than pennies in a pocket and a passion for a sport that was undeniable. Now just a short sixteen years later Intense Cycles has carefully grown to global proportions without losing its have made quality.
Every frame is hand made with the same quality and consideration a mother would bestow on her newborn child. Every bead of each weld is carefully placed as if everything else depended on it. If nothing else, our passion for the bikes we build is infused with every frame that leaves its home here in Temecula, California.
WHEN are you going to post more FAQ's
The standard bike industry response…2 WEEKS! (It will be dialed soon, stay tuned)
Whats so cool about VPP?
Patented counter-rotating link design |
Are your bikes 1.5" head tube or tapered?
Every bike we make (except the spider 2 that is full 1 1/8") is a FULL 1.5" headtube. 1.5" Top and 1.5" bottom, FULL 1.5". Yes, I repeated myself, but we get asked this 4x a day.
What kind of chain device can I use on my Intense bike?
We reccomend using MRP guides. Gamut also works fine. Some E13 guides will need some modification to them to work on our bikes.
What size seat post fits on my Intense?
31.6mm for life. And a 34.9 seat clamp. We are sure there will be some new standard seat post size that the industry says is a must have, but we have been running 31.6 forever.
What size rotors can I use for braking?
Run what makes you feel superbad, 203mm being the max on all of our bikes. TazerHT, you might not want to put a 203mm because your friends will laugh at you and its harder to pull coaster wheelies, or manuals as the kids call it.
How do you adjust the travel on Intense bikes?
On All of our models (except the M-series), the TOP hole on the link is for LONGER travel setting. On the M9, the top hole is the shorter travel.
Does your 'works raw' finish have any clear coat or treatment done to it?
Our 'works raw' is just that, RAW. It comes straight out of heat treat and we apply decals. No clear, no treatment.
Can I put the new Tracer2 rear end on a TracerVP?
No, you can not. The Tracer2 increased travel over the VP, and the pivot locations have moved.
How much do your frames weigh?
Complete frame weights are listed on each bike model page, under the "SPECIFICATIONS" tab
